Never buy more than one drink. If you drink beer, then refill it with water. You're there to get laid, or listen to the band, not pay high drink prices. The other, more preferable method is to buy a coke, tell them you're designated driver, and use the flask method. In either method, when you pretend to step out to smoke, you're really going to the car to refill.

[...] 14. BRING A FLASK… If you’re planning on having drinks at some point in the night sneaking in a flask can definitely lower the bar/restaurant bill and may even give you some points with your date for bravado. Note: This is Illegal so be smooth and smuggle at your own risk. Click Here to read… Drinking Alcohol on a Budget – 13 Tips You Can’t Forget [...]

Great ideas! There are so many free activities to do in this area that most people never know about; you could easily devote an entire website to Free Things to do in Tally. Free-attractions.com some info but it's sadly limited.

I love #13! These are great tips. Do you know if there's a site dedicated to keeping up with the happy hours/drink specials for Tallahassee on a daily basis? That would be a killer idea to have information for each bar/club/restaurant come up just by clicking on a date on a calendar instead of having to check each establishment's websites individually. Another tip: Be open to offers for free drinks. I'm a staunch feminist and even I will exercise my societal advantages and allow a nice man/woman to buy me a drink if they offer. Just make sure you take it directly from the bartender (roofies, anyone?) and make it clear that this doesn't guarantee any action later.

I'm a huge movie buff myself, and I agree that sometimes nothing compares to seeing a flick on a big screen. Remember how AMC used to allow patrons to bring in any outside food, as long as it was "purchased at the mall"? To my chagrin, last week I went to see The Fourth Kind and noticed a large sign reading "Absolutely NO outside food or drink of any kind" at the entrance. I guess they finally realized how much money they're losing... So, I suggest carrying a large purse/man bag to smuggle in your munchies :)
